Short for "Web log", meaning a kind of chronological journal or diary that is published online by an individual or an organization, usually with provision for comments by readers and links to related materials. A blog owner's postings or entries, called "articles", are the main element of the blog, and may be supplemented by photos Typically, blogs are designed to be used by "bloggers" who are not required to have special programming or technical skills.

Blogs are specialized kinds of Web sites, and can be used for just about any purpose involving communication from someone to a target audience. EONI blogs, of course, are subject to the terms of the EONI User Agreement and cannot be used to express hate speech, pornographic material, illegal content or the like.

Software installed on EONI servers that blog owners interact with by using a standard Web browser to create and maintain their blogs.

This measures the space occupied by your blog content on the EONI server that hosts your blog, independent of whether, or to what extent, the blog is actually used. Blogs that consist almost entirely of text may require relatively little storage space, while blogs that employ many photographs will require more space. A single text entry may only require a 1 or 2 KB, while a photograph might be 50 or more KB, for example. Likewise, a blog with many frequent article entries that stimulate lots of reader comments will require more storage space than a "quiet" blog with few entries.

This measures the bandwidth or traffic your blog consumes, in terms of data sent and received, over the course of a month's period of usage. This measure of bandwidth usage is based on a rate expressed as bits or bytes per second.
