Guidelines for Choosing User Names
Naming Restrictions:
- The user name you choose can be no less than 3 characters and no longer than 15 characters.
- You may use letters or numbers or both.
- All letters must be in lower case.
- RECOMMENDED: Do not use characters that can be easily confused, such as zero and uppercase letter "o"; numeral one and letter "i"; etc.
- No spaces, underscores or special characters are allowed. The special characters include, but are not limited to, these special characters: !@#$%^&*( )?" .
- If your requested username is already in use by another EONI user, you will be prompted to request another username.
- EONI's system will automatically "rename" any requested username in which you include unallowable characters. This is done by removing the illegal characters (so long as the minimum resulting length is at least 3 characters).
PASSWORDS: Passwords are always assigned by EONI to maintain system security. EONI will notify of your new password needed to access your account.
