A: If you have Norton Antivirus email protect on it can cause your connection to the mail server to time out. In order to fix this issue take the following steps to shut off scanning of outgoing and incoming email messages. Open Norton Antivirus and click on "Options" Select Email/Internet and then uncheck scan incoming and scan outgoing messages. Click on ok to save your changes. This is a known issue and should resolve any timeout problems that you are having while attempting to send email messages.
