Q: Where are the emails with viruses kept?
A:
When EONI receives any email message addressed to an eoni.com email address it is scanned for email viruses.
If an email message is found to contain a virus the message is deleted instantly.
EONI does not send email to notify the sender or recipient of email being found to have a virus. The reason is due to the fact that many email messages that carry viruses (and worms) are sent with forged From:, To: and other lines in the email. This causes more email messages to be sent to notify email addresses that are forged.
All eoni.com email addresses are filtered for viruses automatically effective January 2004.
