Support: Questions and Answers Detail
Q: What is the EONI email filtering system?
A:
Customers who have an eoni.com email address can choose to have their incoming email scanned/filtered before the messages are delivered to their email in-box.
The main purpose of the email filtering system is to automatically identify email that is unwanted. The email filtering system uses rules, patterns and other methods to identify unwanted messages and keep them out of your incoming email box. This unwanted (usually unsolicited) email is often referred to as "spam".
The email filtering service can take one of three actions when it identifies an email as spam.
1. delete the message immediately, no record of the email is kept
2. place the message into a temporary holding area on the EONI server (called "Spam" in the webmail).
You can also use the white list and black list to make your EONI email filter more effective for you. For more information on white list and black list

All new EONI email accounts come with spam filtering unless specifically disabled. If you would like to make sure your spam filter is enabled, please don't hesitate to contact an EONI support technician.
