A: By separating database content from the Web pages themselves, content can be maintained without requiring Web design expertise. Pages can always reflect up to date content by keeping databases current, without requiring modification of individual Web pages. Simple form-based administrative interfaces to the data can be built by the Web developer, allowing lay staff to keep data current by simply filling in blank form boxes or selecting from a list of choices. The maintainer of the data need only know how to use a Web browser, and be assigned a private password, to manage their site content.
